This series just keeps getting better and better. Each one I read, I end up saying it's my new favorite. I really loved how this one detailed Erik's time in Persia. As always, I love the in-depth look the author gives us of the Phantom, completely humanizing him in a way that anyone can understand and relate to. This by far was the most gut wrenching of Theodora Bruns' story about Erik. Certainly was not the "happily ever after" she eluded to in her introduction. Oded certainly did not deserve the outcome, and Erik most certainly did not need the extra pain handed him. He could have had happiness and not fall into Christine's clutches in Paris.
I love this series but I don't understand why books 1,2 and 4 are available on my kindle but the 3rd one isn't. I honestly can't read 4 without reading 3 firdt. This is frustrating. PLEASE put this title on kindle. Thanks.
I am now on book three of the series and although I love reading about Erik, I don't like what the author did with Erik in Chapter 22 of the book. It appears to me that she is making him a drug addict. In my opinion his torment and guilt could have been handled better than reaching for drugs. In all the other books I have read about Erik, he has not handled his disgust in this manner. Although I would recommend this book for Phantom of the Opera fans, I would suggest that you skip chapter 22. I will continue with the series and hope that Eriks character is described better in the next book.
Best series ever if you are hesitating buying this as in the words of Erik himself big mistake, this series is wonderfully written and is neck in neck with Susan kays phantom to be quite honest I love this Erik more ❤️ I have read countless phanfics countless stories of Erik and this one stands out for me so so clearly I absolutely adore mrs brunns writing I have devoured all 5 books in a week this is how powerful and compelling this story is I need the next book so badly I do not reveiw books often but when there comes one series that stands out from all the others I simply must and to top it all off this series is all in Erik's pov which is so awesome to see the genius and splendor of Erik's most inner thoughts seriously people buy this series you won't regret it take a chance like I did you'll thank me later I swear
I THINK THAT ALL OF THE GLORY IN THIS BOOK SEEMS VERY VAIN, ERIK IS IN THE IST PERSON..HE RUNS THE WHOLE SHOW, THE ONLY INTERACTION IS THROUGH HIM. IN THE LAST THIRD OF THIS BOOK HE COMES "APART" TOO MANY TIMES AND TOO CLOSE TOGETHER. I FOUND THAT MY HEART JUST DIDN'T BREAK AS OFTEN AS IT SHOULD. UNDERSTAND I AM A DEVOTED FAN OF MY PHANTOM AND WILL FOLLOW HIM ANYWHERE. I WILL PURCHASE HER NEXT BOOK, PRAYING FOR MUCH MORE AHhhhhs
What a beautiful yet sad love story. He gave Christine everything and tried so hard to get her to love him yet he ended up alone and miserable. He made a difference, for the good, in many lives and deserved some happiness. I think The Persian tried to guide him and he was a true friend who loved him and looked out for him the best he could.
This is the 2nd time I've read this, and enjoyed it just as much as the first time. Erik is so real to me, I can't get enough of my Phantom! Bring on Volume Six!
"Through Phantom Eyes-Volume Three-Mon Ami," did not disappoint this reader in any way. Like the first two volumes of the series, it is extremely well written. The author's attention to detail and description made for a very enjoyable read that was hard to put down once started. My heart broke for Erik on more than one occasion while reading about this period in his life. "Through Phantom Eyes" just gets better with each volume. I'm eagerly awaiting volume 4.
As the story of Erik's life continues, he travels to Persia where he is commissioned by the Shah to design and oversee the construction of a new palace. While in Persia, he not only makes many enemies, but finds a life-long friend in Oded, the Daroga (chief of police) who also happens to be a cousin of the Shah. However, any happiness that Erik manages to find is always fleeting and the normal life that he desires continues to elude him.
